Why it matters
Mobility is participation.
When older people and people with disabilities can move safely outdoors, they participate — in family life, community, worship, work and joy. Our work is small in comparison to the gap, but it is real, documented, and growing carefully.
Choosing the right mobility aid also matters practically. For people who can still walk with support, an outdoor rollator can sustain movement and independence while using considerably less material than heavier mobility solutions — mobility with a lighter footprint.
